Well with Avacyn Restored officially on the shelves and the Pro tour done and over with, i must admit this was quite a good set to look forward to, 244 cards, 15 of them being lands gave us a decent chunk of cards to work with for this particular set in question.
But when the final card was said and done, it was Alexander Hayne and his Miraculous Blue/White miracles build that took the day, featuring a heavy total of 16 miracles in deck, including the now famous card, Entreat the Angels which helped him win 1st place at Barcelona this year, congrats to you canada man and team Mana Deprived for the win, here's to the world magic cup later this year, go canada go.
Also with Avacyn restored, we got ourselves Event Decks which recently went on sale here plus a chance to take a look at some of the events featuring this particular set in question, with one of them being Grand Prix Anaheim, which we alll know to be a Innistrad Block format only, which has had some success on the Canadian front as of late. But a huge congraulations go to Marc Lalauge for winning GP anaheim and qualifying for Pro Tour: Return to Ravnica later this year, good job, also other winners of GP's this month include Christian Calcano who took the crown at Grand Prix Minneapolis good job man and of course, i am looking forward to seeing you on the Pro Tour once again in a few months time.

In 2011 we had ourselves Scry, the fun mechanic which basically shifted different cards and the like making it fun to draw cards again.
2012 gave us Bloodthirst, which was a original Ravnica mechanic which was featured on specific cards in the old days which took off like a rocket and now we are returning to what i think is the coolest mechanic yet, Exalted but instead of 3 colors having it, it looks like Black is getting it as well which is no surprise here.
Well i am afraid that is it for this edition of the monthly, right on time as usual, on the 1st of next month Planechase 2012 will hit stores and have fun playing that particular format again, till next time this is vergil signing off.
