Return to Ravnica Starting Previews

Well welcome back to the emporium, it's time once again for more magic news then you can shake a stick at, let's start of course with the latest stuff to be revealed for Return to Ravnica, so without further ado let's take a look see.

Jarad was revealed recently in a wizards arcana and oh boy is he good or what, at least as a general in EDH, 2/2 that gets bigger for creatures in your yard, you can sacrifice another creature and have a opponent lose life to the creature's power that was sacrificed and you can even sacrifice a swamp and a forest to return him to your hand, but look at that mana cost, Swamp, Swamp, Forest, Forest yikes that's a downturner for sure.

Apparently Selesyna is getting a brand new mechanic called Populate, which signals token production at it's finest, 2 and a white for a instant speed spell that makes all creatures you control indestrucible, plus it has the mechanic populate, which adds another already existing token as it is onto the battlefield, so if you control a human, you get another human for free as well as the added bonuses of the spell in question.

Duel Deck Announcement: Izzet vs Golgari

Hello everyone and welcome to yet another edition of the emporium, in today's edition i'll be showing off the Arcana Announcement where the next duel deck was announced, Izzet vs Golgari as well as list all the information and provide my thoughts onto this announcement, so without further ado let's begin.

With the up and coming set, Return to Ravnica we are bound to have a duel deck focused around it and today was the day we learned that this duel deck was true, it's Black/Green vs Blue/Red in a clash underneath ravnica, meaning we have the ever powerful Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind vs the lich lord Jarad in a excellent clash for supremacy but your wondering where is the art for the set, allow me to show you the preview piece.

If that isn't Niv Mizzet i don't know what it is, seriously this alternate art form of the card looks super cool and super appealing to all players whom have ever even played this particular dragon.

Penny Arcade Expo Announcement: Hook Block is...

Well yesterday at the Penny Arcade Expo we learned what the set name of "Hook" block is going to be and you are going to be in for a serious shocker here when you learn what realm it takes place in, wanna know, ok here we go.

Seriously Ravnica block is back, holy crap and we may see reprints of specific lands, you know the ones i'm talking about of course, goddamn these kinds of things are just insane, first we had a return to Mirrodin where the bad guys, the Phyrexians won and now this, wizards i thought you had confirmed this wasn't going to be the block for next year, guess we were had for a change, though i like the Niv-Mizzet and Jace in the photo, we will see this later next fall, when of course we learn what exactly is in Return to Ravnica i also missed a spoiler yesterday, wanna see it, here it is.

Sigarda, Host of Herons is her name and boy is she a good legendary creature, Flies, has hexproof and spells or abilites your opponents control can't cause you to sacrifice permanents, ala Annhilator and it's a mythic, 2 mythic slots are now filled, it's a 5/5 and costs 2, green, white, white, very nice indeed wizards, way to give us something good for EDH, anyways that is it and all that for now, tommorow begins Avacyn Restored spoilers officially, till then this is vergil signing off.
