Well hello everyone and welcome to this quarterly edition of the Banned and Restricted List update, now every 3 months the DCI contemplates what needs to be banned, restricted and such from formats and this particular edition covers the upcoming Pro Tour Avacyn Restored which is Block Constructed, 2 cards from this format got banned let's talk about em.

This basically puts a hinder into any token deck in this format, Souls was just way too powerful it seems, it's not even 2 months old and already got banned from one format, what's next, who knows. Virtue also got the ban hammer due to the fact it's enabler was very over powered, for a 2 drop enchantment that plays mostly white, this plus Honor of the Pure basically meant 3/3 flying, vigilance tokens would always hit, no matter what and it was driving people mad i suppose.
The Effective Date this starts is April 2nd, 2012 and it starts on Magic Online on March 28th, 2012 so enjoy playing those tokens on MTGO for a little while longer, you've got 8 days to play, well that's it for this edition of the emporium, so until next time this is vergil signing off.
