GenCon Prizes Announced

Well after yesterday's information reveal I think it is time the information be discussed by me, it is in regards to the prizes that will be given out at the Vintage and Legacy championships at Gen Con in Indy this year when they do go there, so let's start with the vintage prize.

Two guesses as to what this honestly, i know, you should probably be able to tell the card in question, here's a hint it's a piece of power 9, the most precious cards in magic today, yes a alternate art Timetwister holy crap much, yes this is the big prize support for vintage this year at Gen Con, there is only going to be 1 copy of this in existence, so whoever wins the event is going to get a oversized version of this card, with this art, whoever the artist is here they did a magnificent job on this particular piece i would feel.

Moving onto the Legacy championship prize support so i heard you like storm, eh, well this is basically going to shut you all up.

Hmm, the art depiction itself should give this away, let's see it's a Chris Rahn art, let's see he's done 56 pieces to date, with 8 of those being mythics, yes he's responsible for the art on Sword of Body and Mind, War and Peace and Feast and Famine, as well as popular mythics like Huntmaster of the Fells and of course Blightsteel Colossus. I wonder what this piece is, hmm a brain in a storm, hmm oh Brainstorm yes for the winner of the legacy tournament at Gen Con he/she is going to receive this alternate art oversized version of Brainstorm done by Chris Rahn whom has done a very fantastic job on this piece alone. If we all remember the original art was done by a one Christopher Rush whom was also responsible for creating art for the original art for cards like Mana Leak, Lightning Bolt and of course Manabarbs way back in the day when he still did art.

Anyways that's enough of a trip down memory lane for you fine folks, remember Gen Con this year takes place this august, i won't be there but i can tell you from observing previous years of coverage of the event, it's going to be good, so that's all for this edition of the emporium, until next crime this is vergil signing off.
