Magic 2012 Announcement and Information

So if you all remember the magic 2012 announcement which was featured in monday's mothership arcana it had the following details for those curious folks

Now for those whom don't know what this means is the usual core set will be released in July of this year and has the following block information for you


Standard rotates once each year, with the release of the October large set. Magic 2012 will enter Standard on its release without knocking anything out, then Magic 2011 and Zendikar block will leave Standard with the release of "Shake." The Standard format between Magic 2012 and "Shake" will consist of Zendikar block, Scars of Mirrodin block, Magic 2011, and Magic 2012. After the release of "Shake," it will consist of Scars of Mirrodin Block, Magic 2012, and "Shake."

As you can see this is going to have something to do with Allies as the phrase "Gather Your Allies" or so one would speculate however the latest chandra art is interesting as well since the fact every year we usually end up seeing the 5 staple walkers of Lorwyn joining the fray and also the fact of the matter is each one of them may end up getting new art, so thoughts on this one folks let me know in the comments section below, the next regular large article will be later today as always.
